Hall of Fame Class of 2017 Introduced!
In the true spirit of the NGFFL Legacy, in honoring the past, and celebrating the future, three amazing NGFFL members have been inducted into the NGFFL Hall of Fame Class of 2017.
Patrick McIntyre:
Representing Washington, DC & Denver
League Associations, Accomplishments:
- Player for four seasons in the Denver Gay & Lesbian Flag Football League, including two league championships
- Referee for two season in the DGLFFL
- Player for eight seasons in the DC Gay Flag Football League, including one league final
- Referee for 12 seasons in the DC Gay Flag Football League
- Overall, Patrick has been a player and/or referee in 16 local league seasons to date
NGFFL Accomplishments:
- Founding member, co-captain, and defensive captain of two- time Gay Bowl Champion Washington Monuments (2003 and 2004)
- Elected to “All-Tournament Team” as a Washington Monument at Gay Bowl VI in Dallas (2006)
- Gay Bowl player from 2003 through 2013 (eight-time starter and Defensive Captain)
- Pride Bowl player from 2010 through 2013 (four-time starter and Defensive Captain)
- Sunshine Cup player from 2010 through 2012, and 2014 (four-time starter and Defensive Captain)
- Gay Bowl referee in 2014, 2015 and 2016
- Pride Bowl referee in 2014, 2015 and 2016
- Sunshine Cup referee in 2013, 2015, and 2016
- Two-time member of the NGFFL Board of Directors (2005- 2006 and 2013-2014)
- Part of the early NGFFL leadership group that crafted the organization’s first bylaws and formulated the PAUGA concept
- Volunteer organizing helper and fundraiser for Gay Bowl XII in Denver (from DC)
- Fundraiser for Gay Bowl XVI in DC in 2016
- Defensive coach for GB championship teams

William Ward
Representing South Florida, Chicago, Michigan
League Associations, Accomplishments:

- Women’s league coach South Florida
- First SoFL women’s coach
- Chicago GB captain, league captain
- Chicago league At-Large board member
- Joined Michigan team to solidify their Gay Bowl participation
NGFFL Accomplishments:
- Gay Bowl championship QB, MVP
- Four Gay Bowl championship appearance – back to back appearances 2x – Second most successful GB QB – Chicago Flames
- First QB ever to win a Gay Bowl championship (Chicago and Michigan) in both A/B divisions
- South FL women’s coach – first Gay Bowl appearances, Sunshine Cup and Chicago Pride Bowl
