Gay Bowl XV Awards Ceremony & 2015 NGFFL Hall of Fame Inductions @ Rich's San Diego

After a long, tough weekend of football it's time to celebrate your accomplishments at Rich's San Diego, San Diego's largest and most popular gay nightclub. Rich's features two large, separate rooms each with a fully-stocked bar, DJ, and dance floor; a VIP area with four private VIP booths and a separate private party room that overlooks the main dance floor; as well as an outdoor smoking patio.

To start things off, the champions of all three divisions, as well as individual accomplishments will be announced and trophies presented. To wrap up the ceremony, we will find out who will be inducted into the NGFFL Hall of Fame in 2015! Light hors d’oeuvres will be provided.

For Gay Bowl XV, Stripper Circus presents “Sportacus” – a sports-themed evening with a special performance by Bonnie McKee (Bombastic, American Girl). Find that tournament ‘crush’ and get to know them better; get crazy with your team or just party with new friends. This Gay Bowl closing party will not disappoint!

JOCKFEST powered by SCRUFF & Thirst of Hillcrest Pub Crawl Scavenger Hunt @ Urban MO's

We'll be starting our night off at Urban MO’s for the inaugural JOCKFEST, powered by SCRUFF – a once-yearly celebration of LGBT athletes. Celebrate with Gay Bowl XV participants, athletes from the Autumn Classic softball tournament as well as other leagues in the San Diego LGBT sports community.

Once you've gotten your fill at MO’s, the Thirst of Hillcrest pub crawl and scavenger hunt begins! This event is a twist on the traditional bar crawl as you visit the bars and restaurants that are the "secret sauce" to the success of San Diego’s LGBT sports community. The order you visit each bar isn’t important, as there’s a bar in Hillcrest for everyone! While visiting the venues, take advantage of drink and food specials created just for this tournament weekend. They'll be waiting to welcome you with open arms!

The venues for the Thirst of Hillcrest include Urban MO’s, Uptown Tavern, PECS, Harley Gray Kitchen & Bar, The Loft, Martinis Above Fourth, Babycakes,Heat Bar & Kitchen and T-Deli. Through social media, you will be encouraged to go to these locations. Once there, check in and be sure to use #ThirstofHillcrest as well as #GayBowlXV to be entered into a contest to win an amazing prize!

Gay Bowl XV isn't the only national LGBT tournament in town this weekend! Flicks welcomes softball players from across the country for the 32nd Annual Autumn Classic softball tournament, presented by the America's Finest City Softball League (AFCSL). Be sure to enjoy Cleats & Briefs – the tournament's amateur strip tease contest performed by participating softball teams – along with drink specials and go-go boys dancing all night!

Thursday Events Gay Bowl 2015!

   

   

Registration, Pool Party Reception and Seeding Pod Lottery @ Hilton San Diego Mission Valley

Now that the teams have arrived, let’s get registered! In a town famous for endless summers and year-round sunshine, this year’s team registration also doubles as a pool party. Throw on your city shirts, head down to the Hilton's pool area and make sure to bring your ID because alcohol is served! Later in the evening, find out who your team will be playing against as Friday's match-ups are announced via a live seeding pod lottery at 7:30pm. The soundtrack for this event will be provided by DJ Blacklow who's spun in Los Angeles, P-Town, Seattle and Las Vegas.

Official Gay Bowl XV Kick-Off Party @ Flicks San Diego

After you find out who you’ll be playing against and with your best trash-talk locked and loaded, head to Flicks in Hillcrest for the official Kick-Off Party signaling the beginning of Gay Bowl XV! As San Diego's original gay video bar, you can enjoy music videos being played on a dozen HDTVs, play pool or enjoy cocktails on Flicks' two sidewalk patios.
